Story
Game On!
I'm taking part in Drawtism this year - playing Pictionary to raise money for Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect). I'd love you to come along to my game night- just make your donation here and come and play! ![]()
Can't make it on the game night? Don't panic, you can still make a donation and make a difference to the lives of people with autism and their families.
For those who don't have a credit card or don't like paying over the internet, you may make your donation on the game night and it will forwarded to ASPECT.
Living with an Autistic child can be like a roller coaster with many ups and downs. We celebrate the littlest achievements, whether it's going through the shopping centre and not trying to rearrange the shelves, not flapping when he's too excited or asking someone how they are without prompting. I would give away all that I have just to hear my son say, "Mum I made a best friend today".
Despite all the downs, I wouldn't change my son for anything. He is a gift from above and I love all his little quirks.
If we can discover a prevention for Autism, children will never have to deal with the pain and confusion Autistic children face everyday.
Thank you everyone for your support and care. Here's to finding a prevention!

Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect)
Autism Spectrum Australia (Aspect) is Australia’s largest national service provider for people on the autism spectrum.
Autism is different for everyone. Providing the right support requires understanding individual strengths, interests and aspirations. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. At Aspect, we work in partnership with people of all ages on the autism spectrum, providing a tailored support journey that continually adapts to the needs of each person. Our approach means each person is understood and valued for their unique abilities, supported through their challenges and given opportunities to achieve their goals and fulfil their potential.
How your support helps
We need people like you to help us pave the way to a better future.
Autism is a lifelong condition. An estimated 1 in every 70 people in Australia is on the autism spectrum. Along with their family members, this means autism is a part of daily life for over a million Australians. It is likely you know someone – a family member, friend or colleague.
By fundraising for us, you will help provide the best opportunities for people of all ages on the autism spectrum from tailored educational support to fulfilling work lives and improved social environments.
